this is just a draft so forgive the roughness and the bad anatomy etc!

it's beautiful.
i love the phoenix imagery.
i wrote a poem too about phoenixes, but it's not as positive as yours.
illustrations are terrific, and i like the mother earth one.

you call this a rough draft?!? I absolutely love it-- the artwork is great. my only question is what exactly that pregnant woman has on her skin in the upper right. Aside from that, I'm blown away. (though some of the text reads kinda weird, due to the formatting. but that's just me being picky I think. ;P )

I'm going to be reading this poem at a benefit for a Kenyan elementary school on the 15th of august. If you happen to finish the illustration, would it be alright if I put a print of this up for the silent auction? All proceeds go towards the benefit.

ahh, I thought it was the world, just wanted to be sure. :D

and really, the only thing is the format of the text-- could you maybe try and end things on the periods? I know it's not separated into stanzas on the deviation page, but the periods are, for the most part, the big separators.

this is going to be awesomesauce. I'm going to link this to the event organizer now, and see what she thinks of it!

haha thanks. I'm running around the house right now prepping stuff. I only hit the computer when it's time to load another CD into Itunes. :iconsweatdropplz: I'll let her know. and I look forward to seeing what you've done with it once I get back!
